Meet our new Operations Director, Joe McKinnon!
With 14 years experience in an MSP environment, we're super excited to have Joe on board as part of the Jupiter Senior Leadership Team.
Whilst Joe has certainly got stuck in like he's always been with us, we thought you might like to know a little more about him: what he thinks of his new workplace; how he builds relationships with clients; what animal he would choose to be. You know, that sort of thing...
Meet Joe!
What’s the best thing about the people you work with?
From the first time I walked in the door, I was blown away by the characters I was met with and how friendly they were. The best thing about them is their uniqueness. We all have our own quirks, strengths and weaknesses, and it’s all of that which makes this team amazing.
Are you a morning person or a night owl?
I have always been a morning person – I like to get up and crack on. However, having a one-year-old daughter means I have become both!
What’s your ideal way to spend a day off?
A day out with my wife and daughter, doing activities, seeing things, new experiences. A less sensible answer involves pub, football, friends, and a bad head the next day.
(Not on a school night though Joe)
What do you think makes a great client relationship?
When both sides put an equal amount into the relationship - when a client really believes in technology, buys into it, and is excited about its outcomes the same as we are.
If you could give every client one piece of advice, what would it be?
Don’t be scared of technology. It is evolving constantly. Invest in it, embrace it and use it to your advantage.
What’s your favourite holiday destination?
South Africa. My wife and I had our honeymoon on a safari – a trip of a lifetime.
What’s your favourite movie?
Braveheart.
What is your guilty pleasure?
I love ‘rubbish’ TV. Love Island, Big Brother – the drama is great!
What’s your most unpopular opinion?
Die Hard is NOT a Christmas movie!
(Well, you've started something there, Joe!)
Coffee or tea?
Always coffee
What’s your pet peeve?
When you’ve been to the beach and sand gets stuck to your feet ???? And bad drivers!
What’s top of your Bucket List?
I’ve always wanted to do a Skydive, run a Marathon, and drive an F1 car.
If you could be an animal, which would you be?
An Eagle
If you could have any superpower at work, what would it be?
Extreme super speed!
If you had to describe yourself using three emojis, which would you choose?
????➡️ ⚽ ????
