Welcome to the first in our series of team interviews. We’re giving you an insight into the team here at Jupiter IT. First up is one of Jupiter IT’s Directors, Dan Gladstone.
How long have you been a part of the team at Jupiter IT?
11 years. I’m not just a Director but one of the founders that established the business in 2007. It takes my tally in IT to 25 years (I know what you’re thinking, I don’t look anywhere near old enough).
What do you like most about working at Jupiter IT?
That is easy. We have a great team spirit. We have great fun and banter, but we all share something in common: a commitment to be the best in the industry by being service driven.
Oh, and the coffee is pretty good too (and I’m not just saying that because I tend to be the one that makes it).
What gets you out of bed each morning?
Usually my screaming 18-month-old. She’s my personal alarm clock. Enjoying what you do is important and we’re focusing on growing a culture that makes work enjoyable. It’s quite a simple philosophy because a great environment means we are happy. If we are happy, our focus can be on providing a great service to our clients.
Do you have any hobbies outside of work?
I enjoy keeping fit and meditating. I don’t think you can ever say you know all there is to know and that’s why I like to read and listen to audio books to learn new things.
Family time is also important to me so I enjoy having quality time with my family and going out to eat.
Why do you think clients should work with Jupiter?
Each of us make it our mission to ensure we provide the best user experience and resolutions. We don’t give up until things are sorted. We understand the impact IT can have on a business so that’s why we ensure downtime is kept to a minimum and your systems are safe and secure.
The beauty is you can outsource to someone like Jupiter IT and you get access to a wealth of knowledge and experience. We work in several industries and sectors so transfer this knowledge to provide unique solutions that work for your business. We also commit to our team and ensure they get the training to support your business.
Tell us something not many people know about you…
I’m a former Mr UK bodybuilder but I am well and truly retired.
What is your favourite film soundtrack?
It has to be Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure or Pulp Fiction.
Do you have a guilty pleasure?
I’ll probably regret admitting it, but it’s ABBA (shhhhh!).
